Question 84 C4 Motor Ticking?

mechanic says the ticking noise is noisy injection...what do you all think?

Not to worry. This is perfectly normal for the injectors to make an audible clicking noise as they cycle on and off. Don't forget these injectors sit on top of the engine (not in the ports) so that is why you here them.

My 88 C4 has a brand new motor and injectors system and it makes a ticking sound as it idles. What you are hearing would seem normal, but it is always a good idea to take it to a mechanic just to be sure.

mine does the same pull off your air cleaner top its real loud at idle
