Whats the difference between the GS and LS engines?

Hey, BIG Honda/Acura Newbie here. ANyways, my uncle has a 98 Teg GS. Its Torquey for FF. But whats the difference about the GS and LS engines? arent they the same? B18B engines do have torque, but still, arent the LS and GS engines the same?

The LS and GS have the exact same motor, the B18B1. The difference in the 2 trim lines lays in other options/things. The exact specfics of those I am not sure of, but the engine is the same in both, a B18B1.
