Periodic noise in my right tire
Periodically, I hear this metallic noise in my right tire area. Sounds like metal scraping or something. Sometimes like someone is plucking a metal string. At any rate it happens, then it goes away. It starts up when I pull out of the garage, and backout, turning the wheel. Turning the wheel seems to be what starts the noise. If I make a u-turn, it also makes the noise. It seems to happen more when I turn to the left, but it also has happened when I turn to the right.
Does anybody have an idea what this could be, and do you think I need to take it to the shop. I have a 2000 Civic SI 2-door. |

Re: Periodic noise in my right tire
Check your brake pads, bro. New Honda pads run for about 65 bucks, I just changed mine and the noise went away.

yea that sounds like deja vu to me. mine made the same sounds, just check out the brakes. i had to replace the rotors and the pads to get it to stop. oh and make sure if you put new rotors on to clean them off before you put them on
