Then why are all the L guys bitching about the #'s the Ram puts out as compared to the L? cause they are worse? I dont think so, better do some more reading there.

and styling
Thats your opinion. I think L's look nice too (but I will never buy one), but the Dodge in my opinion looks pretty mean.

Interesting..... well here are some links that I'll give ya, to find some numbers to base your FACTS off of.....
if what I've been told is true, about the handling, the Lightning can't take the Slalom at 55 yet the SRT takes it at 69... handling seem fine to me........

I think NJTy180 and Buff_Dragon said most of it for me. Except one thing. The Ford SVT Lightning is supercharged. The Dodge SRT-10 Ram has NO forced induction. So lets slap a turbo or a super on there and then humiliate the Ford even more. Say bye bye Ford boy, the SRT-10 kicks ass.

personally, I'd like to slap the Hennesy (I think thats the brand, not positive) twin turbo's, and engine kit, to pop it HP up to 777 (not a typo) seven hundred seventy seven horsepower, in a truck, wouldn't that be fun??????

LOL

can't wait to see it....lol

I think turbos on a Viper engine is a bad Idea. You can get 700 rwhp from a viper block withough turbocharging it. Plus turbos on the Viper is an unexplored territory so it is gonna be VERY expensive and I dought you would get it right the first time. As for Hennessey, the man's a kon artist. He has good cars but he's fruity.

yea, I typed that before I found about about all the Hennesey con artist shit...... I'd still like to turbo one, do some balancing and then get some "Big Thumper" turbos on there. so what if its not been done before..... if I had the money to do all that, I'd have the money to rebuild it until I got it right.........

phew, maybe one of these days I'll be able to afford it

umm hey guys i dodnt mean to bust the fords "bubble" but my standard cab 03 1500 with the hemi is all it takes to stomp a lightning and thats not just on a straight away! he did keep up but could never get around me on all the corners he had to slam the brakes just to make them, lol i talk to him afterwords and he said that his truck could not take those corners that i was taking with no problem so i guess unless you go out and drive them you dont have much to stand on imao the srt-10 will be so much better than the fords will have to stop producing the lightning and cut costs, lol imao

There is something so uncreative about the SRT-10 that makes me sort of want to choose the Lightning as the "better" performance truck.

Stuffing an existing Viper v10 in a truck seems like there is a lack of effort to design something as unique and original as the Lightning.

The viper engine itself is creative. When was the last time you saw such a huge engine in a street car considering the popularity of forced induction, VVTi and the other equivlant valve timing programs and so on. Now-a-days, most, if not all engines in street cars are smaller than they were back in the hot rod days, everything is compuer controled and so on.

power is power any way you make it in my eyes. think of the lightning's supercharger as the equivalent to the dodge's extra two cylinders. someone mentioned adding forced induction to the dodge, well while you're at it why not add two more cylinders to the ford?
