Alas the flame has died down. Life goes on. Hope the Dude gets his car fixed. As to "Delerships you can Trust" I would recommend you trust them about as far as you can throw a piano with a broken arm. That's not libel - that's an opinion. I stand by my posts. If you live in the tri state area be careful.

Koeppel Hyundai, Queens NYC

When I had my Mazda Protege, I had it serviced with Koeppel since they also do Mazda. It so happens that they messed it up on the first visit and the other visits they had me waiting in the lounge until closing time and when I went in to check onthe status of the car they said "Oh we did not know you were still here, everyone went home." WTF
They messed up the brakes and gave me a dead battery on the second visit. I checked the BBB and they have a lot of complaints. Never again.
Now that I have the Santa Fe I went in just to give them another try do my first oil change and as I was walking into the waiting area, this guy was screaming how bad the service was, I turn right around and went to Nemet Hyundai.

Another one, place has a nice big service area, but the personnel sucks. Doing the oil change they checked the problem I had with the window runner and had left dirty fingerprint marks over the dash, and seats. The window runner wasn't fixed. never again.

Yeh checked BBB site for a couple of these Hyundai delaers. In a one sentence answer they said basically and I quote from memory "Complaints - Do Not Do Business with this Company." Humh! Wonder how that got there????

Ah alas if it works don't fix it. Take your car wherever you feel they are taking care of you. I'm sure they are. I'll do the same. Peace all.

Have a nice 4th of July all and let's hope the troops come home soon and maybe even think of one of them while watching the fireworks. What a wonderful world it could be.....

By-the-by - Noticed there are only a couple entries in the Dealerships you can trust thread. Could this be coincidence? One of these places did me no favors. As to "Delerships you can Trust" I would recommend you trust them about as far as you can throw a piano with a broken arm. Looks like I'm not alone here.

Don't feel bad fellas. I don't think too many people are going to write about their first experience being gang raped in jail either. I'm right here with you though brother. Any time you need a little experience not learned in a text book you can give me a call. I am a graduate of the School of Hard Knocks and my only intention here is to save someone else a knock or two. Aside from that, life is good. My Hyundai is good and I'd appreciate any info I can glean from this site on the maintenance of mine as I will be keeping it until either A) tree falls on top of it or b) the wheels fall off of it. My next car will probably be a used car as I don't have money to throw away and buying a new car is akin to same. I trust I am not alone in this conjecture as this is a Hyundai website and not the Maseratti website which if all things were equal would be where I'd rather be but "you can't always get what you want."

Like the song says "it's wanting what you got!" I have had many cars, most were financed and were expensive to maintain. I still have an old 95 Bimmer, now only used for autocrosses and one lappers,... service 2 inspection costs like $850. Not very economical for someone who found themself on a single income with 3 kids, mortgage, and all the crap that comes with it. I bought my Hyundai because my last daily (work) car started having trans issues out of warranty. Lets see $3K for a new trans or buy a car that has great value..i.e. 100K warranty and cost like $29 to change oil. Not to mention I do get about 33-35 mpg with the Elantra...I drive aound 75 miles to and from work everyday. My last car had the big 6 in it...cost me around $400 a month to fuel, Now last month I recorded $111.32 for the month of June on the Elantra. Big savings. I'd like the idea of saving some money for my kids college education.

I drive an Accent for all the same reasons. It's a good car. The warranty is good and I might just buy another at some point but I would probably buy used like a 2 year lease deal at this point. It really would depend a lot on your financing but I don't disagree with you about the gas mileage or the quality, just service (that I've had done) . Woah Fred...I wasn't trying to slam you at all. Sorry if I came across as crass but I was really only trying to voice my opinion of why I chose to buy a Hyundai. Really no intentions were there to slam you. I don't hold grudges like that...Sure I responded to you somewhat harshly in a past thread...but again I was just stating my opinion...I do not carry the burdening hatchet around with me. I am a very outspoken guy, just like others in here, I say my peace and move on.
