strange noise in 2nd and 4th gear
Ihave a 92 chevy pickup k1500 Z71
it is a 350 connected to a manual 5 speed (NVG 5LM60 5-spd 0/D)
and the truck has about 175,000 miles on it
Just Recently my truck has been making a sound like static (not a grinding sound just a bad bearing like sound) when it is in 2nd and 4th gear. I have replaced the fluid in the tranny and transfer case but the noise has not gone away. My truck shifts as well as it always has so I do not beleive it is my syncros that are dieing. on one last note my transmission has never been rebuilt or reconditioned.
