I have a 1992 silverado 4x4 manual transmision, 5.7l V8 TBI, convencional cab.where can i see what transmision it is} Munice 117mm, Getrag 85mm, Nvg 4500, Nvg 5lm60, Nvg 3500 and what type and brand of oil is best?...

on auto trans use royal purple Max ATF,on ur manual trans use Synchromax, and for ur diff. use Max-Gear 75w90
u can get anything of royal purple from any performance shop and or napa auto parts |

If you e-mail me your VIN I can tell you what trans your truck has. Most newer GM Manuals use ATF. Others use Syncromesh. It would be best to be sure. You can also call your local dealer and give them your VIN.

thanks faze2183, is synchromax the same as syncromesh?

well i just knw that the synchromax can last hella longer then any other fluid u throw in there, though like on my auto i change the fluid every 12k just to be on the safe side and etc
