air filter = power??
I was looking to make my a4 2.8 quattro run a little cleaner not to be a racing maching but to make it run cleean and nice. I started looking at air filters. How ever for the pice it seems that thingks like K and N air filter for 300$ dont really do much heven thought they pomise somthing like 13 hp not only that major brands i can really find for a 1997 a4 2.8 quattro so i dont know if the knock off brand are god. But first tell me if air filter makes that much of a diffrence to spend 300$ thanks

Re: air filter = power??
from what i heard, the stock airbox is just fine. I know of people who are running a Stage III kits(1.8T) and still have the stock airbox

Re: air filter = power??
don't waste your money on a K&N. I had a K&N and noticed ZERO added on performance. And with the K&N be careful when you clean it and re-oil it, you could possibly ruin you MAF
