Changing the Y pipe by itself and/or the cats won't make any negligable change in the sound or performance unless your just deleting the cats altogether. Just a waste of money. The stock cats flow pretty good actually. If you wanna do the y pipe get some long tube headers at the same time.

i have two high flow cats made by random technologies. they flow better than the stock one and it's much better than having no cats at all. I suggest either sticking with the stock cat or getting high flows, but i wouldn't run no cats. I ran mine both ways and it runs so much better having the back pressure that it was designed to have.

whether you believe they flow better or not the fact is that swapping the stock cats for aftermarket ones won't show any gains in 1/4mile ET's. That $$ woulld be much better spent elsewhere for more power.

yeah i see what you mean. when i said they flow better i meant that there is about a 5 hp gain according to random technologies. the reason i got them was becuase i wanted a street legal car.

Nevermind, I see you live in Virginia. Do you ever go to any EFA events or post there?

I would make sure your cats are not plugged and get a cat back system
