HELP!...Oil Pump?
today i was driving to work when i looked down at my oil pressure guage(right next to the stock boost guage) and it was completely buried in "L". What could have happened to it...everything seemed fine performance wise. My brother said it might be my oil pump...but i dont know what it could be, then again I still am learning. If anyone can help me with my problem I would greatly appreciate it.

Re: HELP!...Oil Pump?
Sounds like that could be the problem...or your oil pressure sending unit that services the gauge. Is your car overheating or getting hotter than usual because of added friction? If not, it could be a gauge problem...

Re: HELP!...Oil Pump?
check out the sending unit wire ... its a pos!!! also check the oil filter.. if its loose.. you have to take that off and tighten the stud taht holds it.. that happened to me and i roasted my bearings... and also at the same time the water pump went out... and a clogged radiator.... WOW PROBLEMS! well now i took the motor out boring it .20 over with JE pistons, EAGLE rods, ARP studs...

Re: HELP!...Oil Pump?
That wire does fall off or break over time. There are two. The one towards the front of the car is for the idiot light. You can just crimp on a ring terminal if that gets hosed. The one to the rear of the car is for the guage itself, and there is a shyte connector that slides sideways over the pin on the sender. You can get creative with cutting up a female spade lug, but it still sucks. Try to keep the stocker there as long as possible, which means dont drag it under the car for 2 weeks before you decide to reattch it
