D'sift/Cusco Trueno AE86 (K. Ueo) Kit - anyone built it?

Has anyone on here purchased/built the D'sift/cusco AE86 trueno kit, 2002 D1 champion Katsuhiro Ueo's car?
I have heard that the main problems are:
-no bonnet vent
-no front lip
-no rear drift spoiler
-no TE37's.

I'm fine with all that, I'm happy enough to make all the bodykit parts and buy some fujimi TE37's for it (I know there aren't any 14" reverse offset ones like on Ueo's 1:1 car but the 17" ones look small anyway being fujimi). I mainly need to know if the decals are any good.
Does it come with anything extra at all, or is it just a Tohge or Inch Up kit with extra decals?

Do any of the decal companies make a better decal kit if the fujimi ones are sub par?

I've ordered a AE86 Levin kit + TE37's to build a replica of Gen Terasaki's GT WORKS levin (though it will be minus the stickers I'd imagine), I'm going to build up the front lip, spoiler, skirts, driving lights, behind grille detail etc.
I would like to get the D'sift kit and build Ueo's car, but if its crap...well I'll just buy a normal Trueno kit and build it in its early (pre cusco sponsorship) style - either custard yellow with black bumpers or Gloss black with matt black doors as in the 2001 D1 season.

What the heck
Why did they even market it as Ueo's car if nothing comes with it?

The kit has nothing like the cover of the box. It has no bumper looking like the box and no te37's. Iv heard bad things about that kit.

Basically what I intend to do, so now I know its pretty doable! The decals seem pretty decent too, so thats all good.

Thanks for that, it will be a useful resource.

Where do u think you could TE37's that size so you dont have to make custom ones?

Holy Crap! Those are the nicest Z's I've ever seen. The SR is the cleanest I've seen and I've seen hundreds first hand.

Was the Stolen Z featured in SCC? I remember seeing a Z just like that in a magazine not too long ago.

I'm just using the fujimi 17 inch ones, ozstrider , Fujimi rims tend to look a bit on the small side anyway, its a good enough compromise for me. I may have to modify them to look like 4 lug though - but maybe I'll just leave it....

Re: D'sift/Cusco Trueno AE86 (K. Ueo) Kit - anyone built it?

If you buy this kit now it comes with the old style bumpers that do not have wrap-round sidelight/indicators. It also won't come with skirts - so if you are trying to do a replica you need to do a lot of work first. The lenses for the wrap round indicators are included though, handy as a template.

It comes with the extra bits you get in most AE86 Fujimi kits - ie a roll cage, extra lamps, seats and steering wheel. Mine came with RS Watanabe wheels.

The decals look quite good but I haven't used them on a car yet.
