Hello.
Does anyone know where the fuse for the tail lights & the instrument panel dash light is located on a 1982 280ZX? ![]() I see the fuse box in the right kick panel and there are a couple more under the hood, but I can't seem to figure out which fuse is for these lights and it's not labeled. I assume that they may be running off the same fuse because both suddenly stopped working. Please help if you have any ideas here. ![]() It would be a lot better if I didn't have to take it into a shop and get charged an hour labor if I can simply replace it myself. ![]() Thanks very much, I really appreciate any help. - Chura |

your problem might not be a fuse but a relay... you gotta check your wire diagram for the relay location...

Re: Where is the fuse for the instrument panel lights & the tail lights located?
Hi,
Unfortunately, the Chilton User Manual does not have a wiring diagram for the relay location. However, I have an idea where the relays are located - in a rectangular box close to the battery. Since I bought the car a while back, there have only been four plugged in. It could be one of the four that has "blown." I would be more than grateful, if you could point out which one is the culprit. Driving home at night with the tail lights out is asking for pure trouble. Alternatively, I may have to take it into the shop where someone shall charge an exorbitant amount for something that could be purchased at a Kragen or Napa Parts Store. Thanks in Advance. |

Re: Where is the fuse for the instrument panel lights & the tail lights located?
those are the fusable links for your ignition and headlights.. i belive they also are fusable links for your tailights as well... id go ahead and change them out if you have any of them blown.. but if it blows again then you most likely have a short...
