stupid code just refused to come back...

My car been screamed out code P1870 twice in 3 weeks. Got it cleared twice as i thought nothing of it (until recently i lern about the seriousness!).. I brought it to another tranny workshop (supposingly better than the initial one), and told him the problem.. He said that he need the code to work as he do not want to do a tranny repair based on "guessing" work. I drove it for 3 days, and the SES lamp just refused to re-surface, until 2 hours ago, I can feel that seomthing is pulling my car back when I step on the gas from a stationary position. The "pulling" forces disappear after I hit about 20-30...The gear shift from 1-2 and 2-3 w/o problems. I tried moving off from a stationary position a few times, and the pulling issue is now pretty evident.

This issue happens only i start to move off. I hope I did not burn any parts in my tranny as I am now constantly driving my car just to make the stupid SES lamp appear.. And it just will not pop out!

I know this is going to sound dumb.. Any recommendations to make the SES lamp lit up so that I can bring it to the tranny workshop, like acelerating fast, etc...?
I feel like i am torturing the car slowly to death!!!

Re: stupid code just refused to come back...

eh....... pulling the car back??? or just not moving forward as fast as it should be???? like lag, or something. this is new. but my advice, is to drive at highway speeds as much as possible, as thats when the code is most likely to surface.

Re: stupid code just refused to come back...

Did what you told me, erik.. Cruising 30 mins on highway at abt 75.... The lamp came on alrite...
Funny thing is that I only start to experience the hard shifts from 1-2 and 2-3 when the lamp came on... I did not feel a thing otherwise... Logically, shouldn't the car be experiencing hard shifts even though the SES is off?
