730 head gaskets!

Has anyone got any advice for changing the head gaskets on a bmw 730 - 1995? I have a good idea as to what i'm doing but any advice would be most welcome!!

one hell of a job in front of you my friend,presume you have the tools to do the job? flywheel locking pin,--camshafts locking tools,--timing chain pretensioner tool,etc.?

just to add to 'mech1baary's list of MUST HAVE tools, you'll also need a good bit of time, spare skin for the exhaust headers and lots of patience.......jb.

Am in the middle of doing mine now. Question? left head. do I have to take of the front engine timing cover?crank pulley etc.......The only advise that I can give you is ....Dont be afraid.......it's only a car( famous last words)

no, the front timing cover and crank pulleys remain in place. Only the upper covers need be removed....have fun....stay in touch.
