You guys are joking right? Hasegawa makes the Evo 1, 2, 3, and 4. You can still find the 3 and 4 on eBay. 1 and 2 might be difficult. You'll start to notice that Hasegawa makes a much better Evo 3 than Fujimi. My impression of the Fujimi Evos (3, 5, 6) is that they barely resemble Evos. The front lights are soooo far off the mark. I remember seeing the Hase Evo 1 box. It's got a red car on the front.
Warachan's site has built up models of them all. The 2 and the 4 are absolutely AMAZING builds. Here's the direct link. http://www.warachan.com/version3/gal...vo-gallery.htm I'd recommend going here instead: http://www.warachan.com Lots of good stuff on it, but it's all in Japanese, so it's difficult to navigate. The link to all galleries it the second brown button on the left side. clem.. |

Re: Mitsubishi Evolution
I don't think warachan did all the evo's on that page. The quality is varied in each of the kits from insanely perfect to so-so.

Re: Mitsubishi Evolution
Warachan builds his own models which appear in his personal gallery accessible from the front page (first brown button on the left I think). Everthing else is contributions. I have a contribution in the Celica gallery. I think Warachan's build technique is just like Kunta's. Stunningly showroom clean and shinny and hard to tell from the real thing! They both have that "touch".
The site actually started out as a Toyota only gallery. I believe Warachan is (or used to be) an engineer at Toyota. The site has since expanded to include Honda, then Subaru, Mazda, Nissan, and finally Mitsu. You'll have to learn to how read kana to identify the manufacturers of each kit... clem.. |

Hasegawa are the only manufacturer to produce a street and rally version of the Evo 1, but now are discontinued and quite rare.
No kit was ever produced of the Evo 2 (as far as I know), however, if you had an Evo 1 spare, that can easily be converted into the Evo 2, as the external mods were quite subtle. Hasegawa produced the best Evo 3. The street version has now been discontinued, but the rally versions are still available. Fujimi, however, still produce the street Evo 3's. Hasegawa are the only manufacturer to produce the street and rally Evo 4's. Both variants are still available, but I advise being quick as it has been in production for a while and they may discontinue it soon, especially the street version. Hasegawa again produced the best street Evo 5, but is now discontinued. The rally versions are still available, however, Tamiya's Evo 5 WRC is the best on the market. Fujimi are the only manufacturer to have a street Evo 5 available. Tamiya produce the best Evo 6 street and WRC kits. Hasegawa still produces the Evo 6 street and WRC, Fujimi has a few variants of the street Evo 6 available and Revell Germany has the re-moulded Hasegawa WRC available. Fujimi produces several street variants of the Evo 7 and Tamiya produces the best Evo 7 WRC. Airfix/Heller has the Evo 7 WRC available. Fujimi are the only manufacturer to have the Evo 8 street available in a few variants. Hope this helps. |

Ahh.. I see.. I guess the best way to do this is just start at the evo3 instead at the evo.. *sigh*

I would not lose heart, you may be lucky on ebay. Alternatively, you can be brave and de-Evolve a couple of Evo 3's. The differences are on the front/rear spoilers, rear wing and side skirts. These can be altered with putty/plasticard and some patience. I mean the hard things to scratch build, i.e the lights are already done for you as the Evo's 1,2 & 3 have the same lense configurations. If you can get hold of Hasegawa's Evo 3, it has the Evo 1's rear spoiler as an unused part. Good luck!
