What a Night!

Tonight myself, youngvr4 and pwrdbyunclebens met up to get some footage for the AF vid.

Pwrdbyunclebens brought his brother along, who drives a 350whp and 650lb of tq turbo diesel chevy silverado...f-ing amazing!

I brought a few of my friends, only one of which drove his car. He drives late 80's 300zx. Not much done to the motor but it's nice, I'm sure youngvr4 or unclebens would probably say the same.

Anyway, the night started with us taking a trip down south to a prestige car dealer named Park Place Auto I believe (The dealer had the new Lotus on the showroom floor, carrerra turbos, NSX's, a Viper, Corvettes, an M5, and a bunch more amazing cars). Youngvr4 almost raced a 350z but it had to get off on his exit before he could race...too bad! The silverado did a few drive-by's, which was awesome. The truck was crazy. But overall, we just did some hwy runs and a lot of weaving in and out of mild traffic on the way down.

After a nice lap around the dealer's lot, we decided to head back up north to an empty road and see if we could get a run or two in. The trip back up was cool, except for unclebens getting off at the wrong exit because he wasn't thinking, and started to head home, lol. I ended up racing youngvr4 from 60mph. I gave 3 honks and we were off...more like he was off. No, j/k, it wasn't too bad, but he definately had me pretty good, nice killl vr4! I think the 300zx tried to race youngvr4 too, and resulted in loss worse than mine, so I guess I don't feel too bad. But again, lots of drive-by's and weaving in and out of mild traffic.

The battery was dying so we had to film what we could. As soon as we got to the empty road, it was decided that I should race the silverado from a dig. I'm sure youngvr4 would've loved to race, but his tranny wouldn't permit it. So the camera is rolling and we get a count-down. The flagger's hands drop and we gun it. I didn't have the best start, but I really don't think I would've mattered. The truck pulled on me so hard from 0-30. After that he kept his lead, I'm sure I might've come back a little in a quarter mile, only b/c the truck goes to the end of 4th gear (automatic) and that's it. And that truck gets to the end of 4th VERY fast. Bottomline, he smoked me.

After the race we got some footage of the truck doing a couple of nice burn-outs. After that we met at the near jack-in-the-box and talked for a little bit. After about 15 minutes we called it a night. All in all, I had fun and I'm sure the other could say the same. Next time, pwrdbyunclebens' brother said he'll bring out his '97 Dodge Viper RT/10.

Anything I left out, I'm sure youngvr4 or pwrdbyunclebens will add it.

Re: What a Night!

the guy said he was running high 13's. we got him doing a burnout.

the filming wasn't very good at all, i looked over it and there's things in there to use, but most of it isn't very good. we also have the silverado beating the talon on video also, and that came out good.

Next time we'll have to start a little later so we don't have to wait to do things. It was definantley badass to just gun down the freeway with a few friends. We should do it again.

Hell yea, we need to meet up again. You should have your tranny fixed soon and I'll have my exhaust and BOV in the near future. I'd like to think that pwrdbyunclebens will have at least a k&n filter. It'll be a good time. I talked to my buddies and they had fun and are definately down to do it again some other night.

Thats 'clique' and that cool

Biggest problem around here are lack of highways and lack of cars. Such a small area that high school kids in Luminas are the only things revving at me and I'm sure as heck not wasting gas on that.

Re: What a Night!

^fo shizzle....

Big problem here is an infestation of Rice lancer's, oh god. Now dealerships sell Lancer's stock with tacky wings, go fast stripes, customary fart-can and fosheezy lights.

Sounds like a good night you fella's had, how did the Sentra go?
