Hi

My name is Laurent I live in Nice (France) on the French Riviera and I'm a french owner of a E34 M51 BMW525TDS. I'm also a private pilot and an network engineer.

I've bought my car two months ago and I'm planning to go to Russia with it this summer (more than 3000km).

The car is in a good condition despite it's 12 years old. Leather seats, diamon black paint: it's very nice. The mileage is now 182,000 km and it works fine. However, I have replacedk, as a preventive process, the water pump (plastic one), the fuel injection pump seals, some engine supports, the "calorstat" (I don't know the word in english, it's a thermostatic gate in the cooling circuit), the A/C belt. After a first trip I realized that the steering was bad tuned and had too much play so I had to fix it also.

This is a great car ! especially on motorways : in France the speed limit is 130km/h and in Italy 150km/h (three weeks ago I went to Roma: just great!).

If anyone needs info about Europe and France, please let me know
