Tune up ?'s

I'm attempting to tune my 90 Lsc, and I need some advice. I'm not real familiar with electronic ignitions, so should I take the electronic ignition to AutoZone and have them check it out, ( do electronic ignitions wear out?), and if its good are there contacts on it that should be cleaned. it sits on top of the distributer. I'm also going to replace the PCV valve. How about the rotor should I replace it to? I dont think its been changed four about 35,000 miles. I will also replace the spark plug and wires any advice on what kind. Is there anything else I should check and replace if bad.
