Ultimate RockfordFosgate Setup?

My friend suggested that for a compact car like my 2000 Eclipse I would need:

1 Rockford Fosgate 10" Punch Subwoofer
1 Rockford Fosgate 2-Way Amp for the Subwoofer
1 Rockford Fosgate 4-Way Amp for the Speakers
A set of Rockford Fosgate Speakers
1 Alpine 7995 or Alpine F17990

I am looking for excellent midrange bass with extreme high fidelity and treble. Or in other words... clear mid boosted sound that is more than just sound that it is an experience.

The bass that I like is the bass that is clear but quick enough for you to feel it you know... like instant and without any lagg or heavy distortion. But wide enough for it to be felt throught the entire car.

Not the heavy

THOOOMP THOOOMP

That just goes too far as to kill the music.

So what do u guys think?
Can I really go for this setup for the ultimate?

Re: Ultimate RockfordFosgate Setup?

I've never heard "ultimate" and "rockford fosgate" in the same sentence before...

the fosgate stuff is nowhere near the capabilities of alpines high end head units.. why pick such good head units if your going to use fosgate for everything else?

what is your price range?
if i were you.. i would stick with...

alpine head unit from 9831/33/35
or pioneer 860/960/8600/9600

then for the amps you could use fosgates.. make sure its the 2004 ones tho.. they are underrated.. i can show you guys a link to prove it.. but probably buy the..

buy a punch p5002 for just front speakers, if your car is as small as you say it is, and since you want lots of mid/midbass go for a cdt 3 way system.. it'll cost plenty but its worth what you pay for

for a sub.. from fosgate.. hmm you want to feel it right?.. i seriously dont think 1 punch sub will do.. i mean i have a 12 inch kicker cvr.. it was loud n boomy in a ported box.. i changed it to a sealed box.. not much difference in volume.. but it sounds different.. and that doesn't even hit that hard.. try atleast 2 12's or 1 15 inch.. and atleast 500rms if you want sealed.. if you want ported ask the pros around here i dont know anything about tuning ported boxes or anything

ROCKFORD ONLY DOES HEAVY THOOOMP THOOOMP.

My suggestion is screw rockford, overpriced and not the best quality, good SPL.

Look at nine.1, nine.2, focal, cdt, edesigns, resonant engineering. If you are using external amps, get a DENON, with the RF logo on it. http://www.cardomain.com/item/ROCRFX8250

also RF=lagg. Distortion is all on install I would get a sealed box with a single 12 or 15. How much do you want to spend? Thanks for joining us over hear on the forum. If you want real quality, avoid rf at all cost. Its early in the moring so I don't know what to say otherwise.
