Question 2004 Taurus Passenger door open while driving

Hello,
I have a204 Ford Taurus. It only has 1100 miles on it, but the other day I was driving down the interstate going 75 MPH when the door suddenly popped open. My thirteen year old daughter was sitting in the seat at the time. She was no where near the handle, so she could not have accidentlly have pulled the handle. She was fortunately leaning against the console talking with me. She immediately grabbed the handle and held it closed until we could slow down out of traffic and pull off the side of the road. The door was still locked even. The door ajar warning went off also. I know the door was shut tight to begin with we had already driven about 45 miles when this happened. I talked with the dealership today and they had not heard of this sort of thing happening. Anyone out there hear of anything like this happening? I really concerned about it happening again. We have been very careful not to lean on the door for fear it will happen again. Help!
Thanks,
Ginger

I wouldn't talk to the dealer, I would take it in and have it gone over thoroughly. That way you have a ticket written on it in case it happens again
