got the K&N xstream...

i just picked up the K&N zstream top kit with the 14" air filter and base i got the one that is 3 inches high but found out that 4 will fit eh doesn't matter tho anyways so i got it for $130 put it on had to cut the screw for the carb down a bit or else it would have poked a hole in my hood test drove it the cowl induction sounds sick you can hear the air getting sucked in there i love it and i noticed a good gain in power too you get pushed a lot farther back in the seat now im very happy

Cowl hoods kick ass. Opening up the intake definately makes the car sound badass.

do what i'm doing and jsut drop a chevy v8 smallblock in it...i'm puttin 383 in my 3.4 (1995)...more cubes then the 350...obviously...will be makin' bout 400-450 hp...on pump fuel...then i'll need ot work on the suspension...lighten up the car a bit too...change the glass to lexan...i think thats how its spelled anyway...carbon figer hood...then i'm gonna add on some weight...can't have a 450hp car without the looks...got a bodykit i'm gonna get...nothin' ricey...and as far as i'm concerned ricey is plastic rims and a 4 banger...i'll be keeping the 3.4 for awhile though...cause i need to build the 383 first...plus i want it for gas mileage...

Re: got the K&N xstream...

cowl induction hoods dont work on fuel injected cars. unless its like the tbi of the third gen, where the throttle body is on top of the engine like a carb...

Re: got the K&N xstream...

Cowl hoods can work on fuel injected cars just as well are carbed or tbi cars. Besides he has a carb on his camaro.
