Need some opinions

right now I have a red 95 delSol and I am finally getting rims and getting rid of my "ugly" hubs forever, yay. Here is a pic of the wheels I am interested in, and this is just a pic, I'll order through a shop in my area, ((http://superbuytires.com/images/wheels/HeloAX.JPG)) but I just wanted some opinions. I came to the conclusion that I would go with 16s with Falken tires and soon after I get the wheels, I would put on an Invader front bumper, Invader side skirts, and a Buddy Club rear bumper. So all opinions are wanted, just keep in mind I'll be having a kit on it, and depending how the kit looks is whether or not I will drop my delSol a little bit.

Re: Need some opinions

Well, I don't personally care for chrome wheels that much so can't say I really like them. I also wouldn't go larger than 16's on the Del Sol otherwise it looks like a monster truck. You'll need to lower the car to make it look right with 16's. The car looks decent without lowering if you put 15's on.

And the Invader kit isn't my first choice either. I like a more modest look so it's not something I would choose, but it's your car so do what makes you happy.

Yeah chrome isn't my type either. I plan on getting these: http://www.enkei.com/PerfSpecPAGES/rsvSpecs.html

Yes I'm getting 17s, the tires are thin though so I don't think it'll look too bad.

Re: Need some opinions

if you want my opinion, which you do or you wouldn't have asked, i think anyone who puts chrome wheels on a honda deserves to be shot. Those are gaudy and ugly in my opinion. If you are gonna get chrome, at least let it be of a spoke design. the year is 2004, not 1986 buddy. don't take offense, i'm not getting on you, but its just my opinion.

well I would have spoked, but personally it not me at all, especially many spoked. originally I was shooting for white rims, but everyone in my area has white spoked wheels, and i hate gunmetal wheels. So chrome or polished silver fits me more and the design is different which I want my car to be, not just the typical car out there that looks similar to the rest. as for putting chromes on a honda, yeah i agree but hey, i'm color picky i guess, its one of my faults. and nobody take offense to their own opinions, i asked for opinions and you guys deliver, but of course everyone has their own taste

Re: Need some opinions

Hi dude,

Must say that I agree with the general consensus. I can't imagine chrome wheels anywhere apart from the movie "Friday" or maybe "Houseparty".

I have league 17" split-rims with painted calipers. I lowered my springs a fair bit too make them look better.

Have a look: http://www.voodooz.com/car_photos/158-5840_IMG.JPG

Since that photo was taken I have had the wheels professionally cleaned, which makes them a little shinier around the rim.

Another idea for you anyway.

Regards,
Jonny
