Curtis SmartKey for Expedition

Anybody know how to disable the Curtis (key type M72)SmartKey feature on a 97 Expedition. I am guessing, but today after moving mine out of the garage, I turned off the vehicle, went in for dinner, came back out and now the vehicle won't start. Battery is good, I hear a relay on the firewall clicking, and after checking voltages, it appears to be OK. I did try the 2 keys I have with the same result. The strange part is after turning the key about 5 times, the power door locks cycle lock/unlock or unlock/lock. Any ideas?
