97 dodge gr caravan key turns but nothing happens "HELP"

I have a 1997 dodge grand caravan, the problem is when i turn the ignition key to start the van nothing happens just like a dead battery. I had moved the gear rapidly from park to neutral and then it started, Now i go to dodge and tell them what is going on and they tell me its the neutral saftey switch, So 1 day later they have the completed and your good to go. Now my wife drives the van to a local walmart and goes inside the store and comes out later and turns the key and bamm
nothing happens just like a dead battery.

We took that van back to the dodge dealer and they said they started it over 100 times and checked the wires on the starter and everything and they could not get it to do what it was doing to us. Again ok we take the van home and pull in the driveway bamm turn it off and tried to turn it back on to move the van back some and nothing key turns but nothing happes lights come on dash everything works but no sound no nothing. But put it in neutral and it starts, What now did i just pay for a part they never put in? or what?

One other thing how we got it started before when the neutral thing did not work was that we rocked the van forward a little and bamm it started. What the %&@#&$@&$ Am i going nuts? We have another appointment with dodge to see what the $%%#$@ is going on.

If anyone has had this problem or knows what it is please HELP!!!! ME!!!
