Beer, hard liquer and still work out?

So lets here some opinions. Open forum here, lets just get some ideas going. The topic is Drinking. How it effects your work out schedual(sp). How it effects your cal and carb intake, or your diet in general. They have a new drink out now called Green Light or something that has pretty much nothing in it, so i'm guessing i'm not the only one thinking along these lines.
the only way it really effects me is messing up my sleeping, and how dehydrated i feel the morning after. I'm always drinking water all day everyday. But hey i'm young, anyway i havnt heard it hurts you physiclly except your liver so it cant be that unhealthy right?
ill post more in a minute.....drinking a Heineken right now.

Well if you're on a die hard work out schedule and diet, drinking wouldn't be something you should do I would think. I try and have water in b/w every 2 or 3 beers and it seems to help with dehydration the next day. But that's just me maybe.

NO FLAMING!!!
back on topic, I do not tink that drinking beer is good for you if your on a strict diet. But if you just work out to stay in shape, then an occasional drink every now and then should not harm you

Re: Beer, hard liquer and still work out?

Alcohol is just carbs and dehydration. Two factors which DO NOT help in any way shape or form to build lean muscle or lose body fat. Water is crucial in order to absorb your nutrients, build your muscle etc. The sugars in alcohol are empty carbs with no nutritional value. That being said, getting completely shitty every once in a while is a must.
