2000 HX flames out of exhaust

don't ask how but i had flames shoot out of my exhaust, i was racing a 97 nissan altima 5 speed with a cold air on 195 in massachussetts, about midnight about 10 minutes before he revved me up i was wondering what the hell no exhaust, so anyway i folled him he was getting on the highway and we started going at it i pulled on him 4 out of 5 times we got off the highway a couple exits down and pulled over he asked what the hell i had i told him nothing special just a 1.6 sohc vtec-e with an automatic tranny,he said i was shooting flames out my exhaust, i always wondered why my paint was melting off my bumper. just thought i'd tell you guys just think it's cool thats all

who the hell pays thousands for stuff like that? are you crazy? If someone does actually want it (which is stupid in the first place) it only cost like fifty bucks for the parts to do it or for like 200 I think someone makes a kit. either way doing it to a car with a cat is bad news I believe. the kits are only for cars without cats if i'm not mistaken.
