Re: Need help, and input on buying a new car
Dodge SRT-4...13.9-second quarter mile stock, base MSRP for a 2004 model is $20,995. The insurance is reasonable too, because it's a front-wheel-drive sedan based off of an economy car (the Neon).

Re: Need help, and input on buying a new car
The Neon is nowhere near the SRT-4. There are cheaper cars, but the SRT-4 is WAY ahead of them in performance. Your next best bet would probably be the Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V. They don't have the blistering turbocharged speed of the SRT-4, but they do have 175 hp, 180 torque, and a front LSD, so they aren't too bad. Only $17,500 too

Re: Need help, and input on buying a new car
Nah, there's plenty of people who know a lot about sport-compacts, they just aren't online right now. If you don't like the Spec-V and can't afford the SRT-4, check out the Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, Honda Civic Si, and Ford SVT Focus (not sure on the price of the SVT Focus, the other two are about $19,000).

Re: Need help, and input on buying a new car
Err... to my knowledge the Civic SI is $19,000 and the Focus SVT(other than the '05 being very ugly) is $18,000.
I wouldn't recommend anything that will tempt you to race. You can't really mod it or anything, and if you do there is a good chance you'll become attatched. Why not buy a cheaper car and go with that? |

Re: Need help, and input on buying a new car
Why only lease? If you're getting car payments, why not take out a loan, have your parents cosign and buy a car, that way you can mod and you can get attached...and build credit. Plus if you buy a car, you could go used and get a faster/better car for under 20k, than a brand new car for under 20 grand.

Re: Need help, and input on buying a new car
if your going to lease....does it really matter what car you get? Buy a used car with a loan you take out from the bank and use it as a project car for whatever you want.

Re: Need help, and input on buying a new car
Yeah, I agree, rather than lease a new car, make a down payment on a good used car, have your parents co-sign, and start making payments to build up credit.

well look in my sig.. i have some cars that are under $20k.. they all seem reasonable.. some have speed.. some are for more practical uses
well just incase here are some cars Scion tC 2 door sporty coupe u can get one for under $17k 160hp/tq Nissan SE-R spec V it has more than the tc but its 4 doors and cost a lil more toyota corolla XRS starts at around $18 i think.. has the refinement of a corolla.. and the speed of...... a celica haha Dodge srt4 $20 the most bang for your buck.. you have a chance to burn the 350z and anything that is slower than it the civic SI is the worse next to the RSX.. both cost almost $20 and only have 160hp 141tq its horrible not worth it imo |

MYU2, you're an idiot. Quit posting that stupid site on here.....Well anyways I found a car I like. This kid that goes to my school is giving me a huge deal on his ,I believe (98) Trans AM. He said he'd give it to me for either 7,500 or 8,000. The only thing I have to worry about is gettin a loan Its got 75,000 miles on it and has a corvette engine. He got it for either really cheap or free because his dads a police officer and i guess it was confiscated. The only negative about it is that its green, and it has a screamin eagle graphic on its hood and sides(Which I can get taken off)
So what do you guys think? |

Re: Need help, and input on buying a new car
As long as the car is in good condition, that's a pretty good deal.
