Foglights....

Alrighty... I just got my new lights for my foglights. Everything was all good and well until I took off the cover of the foglights and tried to unscrew the 2 screws. THEY WILL NOT COME OFF....

Just a lil' frustrated.... I try to turn them but it doesn't work... I've already partially stripped one of them. Not too bad though. I just can't think of a way to get them off... Please help.

I'm not sure if it'll help a lot but dumping WD-40 on anything thats stuck is a step I usually take.

I tried getting my fog's off so I could replace the bulbs but could not find any fasteners where are they? And are they screws or bolts?

Thanks Yogs... I did that just before checking the thread. Hopefully it'll work after I try again after I eat ^_^

And for my 95' SL getting to the fog bulbs is actually pretty easy. All you have to do is pop off the plastic cover (there is a small metal clip on the side closest to the fender) Then there are two screws... Unscrew those, and you should be able to get to the bulb. Just hope they aren't rusted :-D

I managed to get one of the covers off (I think I broke it in the process not to bad though) and ended up stripping one of the screws on that side, I guess i'll try the WD-40 . How am I supposed to get off te clip thingy on teh other side it seems to be wedged between teh fender and the plastic cover, is there some trick to it?

Ya, I got the same problem, even tried cutting the screw off...but no luck, only got one side off, other side just stripped...drilling/cutting/bashing/ripping off foglight didnt do anything...pretty sure torching the screw will work though, but nothings gettin done for a while.

I had to bend one back and forth to get the screw to break off, now only one screw is holding on each fog light lol.
