Re: rs or not?

its an rs then, cause the regular one just has 3.6 and says "camaro".

see this rs is 3.8 liters so you got the same...

Re: rs or not?

no problem, my uncles had an rs for like 1-2 months and they didnt like it so the excanged it and added a couple $$$ back in 95' and got the 95 camaro z28... they hated the manual on the v6 so they thought it would be the same on the z28 thats why its auto, by the way welcome to the automotive forums!

Re: rs or not?

um, they didnt use the 3.4 in 96. chevy stopped using it in camaros in 96 with limited use in 95. the RS package was an option package and i assume that you could customize it, get it with or without various features. whoever bought the car originally prolly didnt want the body kit. check your RPO codes, they'll tell you what you have...

Re: rs or not?

My 96 RS was the same way... it is an RS by Vin, but no effects.

Re: rs or not?

diabloGT obviously knows nothing about v6 camaros. a 3.6???? and there is no difference in engines on the RS and Standard camaro. a 3.4 was used from 93-95 and then they switched to the 3.8. Dont offer advice about things you dont know about, you could really screw someone over.

Re: rs or not?

there was nothing wrong with his advise, he made an honest mistake by typing 3.6, nobody is perfect.

Re: rs or not?

yea except he said that you could tell whether or not it was an RS by the size of the engine. The engines are the same.
