Weight?

why do preludes weigh so much? there small cars, but wide. maybe all that weight is from the powerful H22 motor? just curious.

its really the car as a whole thats heavy in general. even a gutted lude will have an extremely hard time breaking 2500lbs

honda added a buncha material to stiffen the chassis from the previous platform. add to that a longer, wider and taller car than the 4th gen and weight will add up. still the car is overweight for its size. iv'e been told honda used thicker sheetmetal on the 5th gen too. but i never noticed it compared to the 4th gen.
