Cheap ass newb...

Ok, I want to know, what I can do tune-up or otherwise, to improve my car in anyway, with no or very little cash. Replacing fluids etc, but what else?

Re: Cheap ass newb...

distributor cap- $15
distributor rotor- $5
Fuel Filter - eh around 10 I think
Spark plugs- $25 ( less if you want cheeper ones)
Spark plug wires- $30-100 (depending on brand and size)
PCV Valve- $4
Factory air filter- $10
Cheep cone filter $25
K&N cone filter- $80
Ebay cold air- $30

Definatly do the first few things, bring the motor back to factory running condition before trying to do any power adders.

LOL! There isnt much you can do for performance gains that make a diffrence without spending money. The best you can do is like he said, restore the engine to near factory condition.

Re: Cheap ass newb...

loosen up ur dizzy bolts and rotate it a lil foward...

for best results have the car running while slowly rotating ur dizzy...pull the throttle cable until u get ur desired response
