Borla Exhaust Help!

I was looking to upgrade my exhaust system to a borla, but have been recieving conflicting information on it.

I have a 2003 Toyota Tacoma Double cab, 3.4L v6, 4x4, short bed, AT... Borla has been negligent in responding to my emails, so have looked to you

The system is listed to only work on the 2003 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner EC 4x4... However, both the listed vehicle and my taco have the same wheel base so I figure that it shoudl still fit. The only possible mishap that comes to midn woudl be the mountings on mine in comparison to the EC pre-runner... but, knowing toyota they will be exactly the same... seeing as how changing up the mountings would require toyota to fabricate an entirely different exhaust system for the pre-runners when they could just use the same system by keeping the mountings the same.

Does anyone have a borla installed on their taco with my specs or have any idea as to whether or not it would be applicatable for me?

Thanks, any and all comments are welcomed and appreciated.

Re: Borla Exhaust Help!

Chances are they are identical. Borla may not have a p/n as yet based on CARB or other certification requirements.

Please keep us posted - I just bought a Tacoma with the V6 and am very interested in the sound quality of an aftermarket exhaust. I'm generally opposed to a system on anything except a V8 or I6 engine.

Take care,
Jerry

Thanks for the reply.

Thats what my friend and I were thinking. Im still going to wait a few days to get a reply from Borla seeing as how I have time... insurance, the agony!! heh...

If nothing else, I can always just sell the system and lose a few bucks in the process of learning, hehe...

Ill keep you updated and let you know if everything comes out well. Thanks for the reply.

If anyoen else has any input, lemme know please
