Dead CD Player 1998
My stock one cd player in my 1998 Camry died with a cd in it. Is it fused separately? Where would the fuse be? The radio works and so does all dash lights/acc.

Re: Dead CD Player 1998
The unit is linked to one fuse. If the CD player alone has died, you will either have to have it serviced, or replaced.

Re: Dead CD Player 1998
Thanks for getting back to me. I was afraid you would say that. The dealer said he would send it in for repair but I'll have to price that first.

Re: Dead CD Player 1998
Also, I had just discovered that there are two fuses for the head unit, so it is possible that one could have blown causing the CD player malfunction...I'm not sure of the exact location, but I know that both are in the fuse box behind the little coin box...on the back of the box is a diagram which will show you where they both are...hopefully this is what's wrong with yours, I'd hate for you to have to go and pay out the a$$ at the dealer for repair. Best of luck.
