1997 turn signal issue
my turn signals and hazzard signals quit working. when I try to use them nothing happens. I replaced the lights and checked the fuses which appeared to be fine. what else can I check? I went to auto zone and they said there was not a flasher for the 1997 dodge intrepid. I thought this would be an easy fix but it is turning out to be more difficult. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1997 turn signal issue
Auto Zone is lying! they have them, it will be a 4- or 5 connector Electronic Flasher Unit, the problem is you will not be able to mount the Flasher where the Factory did (Under the dash on the drivers side, you will need to remove the heater duct to see it.) You would be better to fine a factory one at a wrecking yard, just make sure yours is either 4 or 5 connectors as the plugs are the same and the flasher will plug in but a 4 conductor flasher won't work on a 5 condnductor wiring harness connector and vice versa, they won't interchange.
If replacing the Flasher doesn't do it then you may have a problem with the milti-function switch on the column. (wipers, high beams, turn signals, hazzards, etc.) |
