I have a 1998 Olds 88, 3.8L. Anyone offer advice on replacing the lower intake manifold? Where to get a replacement? How many hours? What to watch out for?

Re: Lower Intake Manifold
If you are losing coolant and think it is the lower intake manifold. Before you start pulling off the lower intake manifold you might want to check the upper plenem for a bad seal around a 3/4" passage on the drivers side.
It can be replaced rather easily compared to the lower manifold. |

Go to auto zone too. You should really replace the muffler bearing also when your putting it on bc they go bad fast and are easy to fix. Its just clips onto the manifold. All you need is a flat head to untighten it. It just slipps off after that.
Hope that helps! Keep on keepin' on!!! |
