90 Accord No Headlights
Help me out guys if you can.
I just replaced the tranny in the car. Everything seems fine.....but.......there are no low-beam headlights. I've checked to see if when we did the tranny work if any of the wires may have been cut or unplugged or anything like that, I didn't notice anything. I've checked the fuses and they are fine for both sides. Here's the weird thing, the high-beams work. There is no power to the low-beams, I've checked with a voltage meter. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, TJ |

Re: 90 Accord No Headlights
Not so weird, really - hi and lo beams are essentially separate circuits.
I don't have my manual at hand, but don't they have separate fuses/relays for hi & lo? Failing that, could be a wiring problem (of course) or a bad hi/lo beam switch. then again, you might have met the little-known secret feature in 90 Accords, whereby if you perform ANY maintenance yourself (instead of going to a dealership), then the headlight low beams fail to function

Re: Re: 90 Accord No Headlights
Codger,
They do have a seperate fuse for the left and right headlight. I'll have to check and see if maybe there is one for hi/low beam. The switch would be the next thing I guess. I just assumed that since the hi's were coming on, that it would be good. Worth checking though. thanks |
