Stripped head stud.
Hoping for some ideas on how to repair a stipped stud hole in the exhaust side of the head. I've seen helicoil's and some other types where you have to drill it out, retap it bigger and place an insert. Hoping to do it without have to take off the exhaust manifold, turbo or head.
Thanks for your support! => |

Re: Stripped head stud.
You stripped the threads for an exhaust bolt? Helicoil is the best way to fix it, read this thread and follow the link, it'll explain what you need to do it.

Re: Stripped head stud.
The problem was already solved.... almost a whole year ago. Why are you bringing all these ancient threads back?
