SOHC 3/S < GS-R < DOHC 3/S < Type R < VR-4

Re: 3000gt vs Integra GS-R

its cause guys on the integra forum say that a GS-R will whoop on a 3000gt base 91-96 or SL 91-99(not vr4 of course). stock vs stock. an Integra GS-R has 170 hp ,128 lbs-ft and weighs 2,667lbs. what do you think?

GSR will destroy any 3000gt base model or sl.

When it comes to VR4, then the 3000gt really shines.

So, a gsr will kill sl's an base models.But not a VR4.

the DOHC N/A's will actually pull on the GSR, remember, the base model weighs 3100 lbs and puts down a lot more torque and about 50 more hp then a gsr

Re: 3000gt vs Integra GS-R

GSR would not beat an SL. Sure the GSR weighs less but look at the HP and torque diffrence. that's 50 HP diffrence and 80ft lbs torque diffrence. And if iam correct the SL only weight 3100lbs that's only a 500lbs diffrence.

also, something else just occured to me, the integra's gears are much shorter than the 3/S's, so the gsr would probably hang with the DOHC N/A through first and second gear, and then third gear the 3000 would probably start walking away

i dont think a 3kgt sl weighs about 3100 more like 3250 somewhere around there but hell 150 lbs wont make that big of a difference...maybe .15 on the 1/4 mile. I think the rule of thumb every 100 lbs added or taken away from a car adds 1 teneth of a sec or takes away 1 tenth of a sec.

But just my 2 cents i think it will be drivers race.......depends which driver knows thier car the best....but theortically the 3kgt will have the advantage. Damn, ive seen cars that should easily kill the car they raced because the driver didnt know how to drive very well, he didnt know when the best time was to shift...

Just like yogs said....theres only on way to find out for sure who would win....GO RACE!!!!

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
