A pair of McLarens

A beautiful day in Massachusetts for a drive. And a very large gathering of British cars in Brookline, Mass. Sounds like a perfect opportunity to take a pair of McLaren F1s out for "show and display'".

We left early in the morning - but not too early - and drove down I-95, through Boston, and to the Museum of Transportation in Brookline. Having been to many MOT events where the hit of the show was often the car that you could hear coming up the street, it was nice to be on the the opposite side for once. The LM pulled in first and then myself and Dave in the black car. Yeah, they just waved us to a spot. The McLarens were parked in with the Aston Martins overlooking the field of mostly vintage MGs and Triumphs.

Here's a teaser:

And the whole album can be found here: http://douging.smugmug.com/gallery/150183/4

Yeah it was a great show. Alot of neat cars but the two McLarens were definately the main attraction. I should have my pics up in a couple of days. Just have to wait till I return home.

to Drew and Karc. Nice pics covering the event. You guys are very fortunate to be able to see them first hand. Are these guys just letting people climb in or are those guys invited guests? The people at TMS are to be commended for their generosity. I just wish my wife still worked for the airlines. That would have been worth the trip. Thanks for sharing. You guys get the

green with envy again.

Welcome.

This pic is my favorite: The F1's lights are on; the sun hits it just right without being glaring; and the angle of the car and wheel is great.

I'm glad that you got to see the cars up close. Better than through a window, right?

Looks to me like that picture was taken at McLaren Cars in Woking.

Is that XP5's engine cover I spy in the background?
