engine

can i change a SOHC 92 galant to a DOHC and put a turbo on it or is it best to buy a complete engine with the turbo on it and does any one know where i can get one with every thing on it (computer,wireing,etc..)

Putting a Turbo into the engine doesn't require the camshaft mods to DOHC, just keep it as SOHC, but make sure the compression is lowered as Turbo charge will generate great compression pressure at boost, without lowering compression could blown the head gasket in no time.........

1992 Galant with SOHC don't have much engine swap option today, try to look for Mits 6A12 V6 DOHC either NA or Turbo engine for Galant, these engine should sits easily into your engine bay.

you could do a full 4g63t swap. The thing with the head SOHC vs. DOHC is that there no turbo computers for a 4g64/63 sohc head thats y most ppl also go with a dohc head swap while turboing it
