What will I need to swap engines I have an engine from a 93 Z and will I need to change wiring harnesses my engine has a spun bearing do you think it will be cheaper to fix mine or put 93 in my car?My car had a blown head gasket and heads were warped fixed top end and bottom end went bad!Wat else besides wiring harnesses needs to be changed?Which engine is hotter 95 or 93?Everything is good in my 95 except crank knock!

Re: Engine Swap 93 into 95 Z28 Camaro

You'll have to swap some sensors like the oil pressure sensor and the opti is different but has same harness. So it shouldn't be a pain to swap the 2 and your block and heads will need alot of work and time . So I would just do the engine swap if I where you

Re: Re: Engine Swap 93 into 95 Z28 Camaro

You'll have to keep your 95 harness... 93 and 95 harnesses are different 1.93 Has no Mass Air Flow Sensor and 2. 93 has a OB1 computer...

Horsepower both engines are about equal. If you have the 93 engine i'd change it out. Probably cheaper to swap the whole thing than to change parts out, at least labor wise.

Re: Engine Swap 93 into 95 Z28 Camaro

there might be issues with the ecu looking for sensors that arent there. i would look into getting the comp out of a 93 also, just to play it safe and to make it easier...
