Im a newbie, help me out

My dad has an 98 E320 (black) which he's finally letting me soup up. I've got Pirelli Tires and AMG Rims on it, and Im getting yellow calipers, but I wanna know what some easy bolt on stuff to get it some more power. I was wondering if K&N made a high flow air filter for it, but I couldnt seem to find it on their sit. Anybody have suggestions?

E320 power upgrade?

There is no reasonable way to increase the power of an E320. Buying a $400 muffler will not increase the power but will produce a lower exhaust note that you won't hear with the windows up. Paying Renntech several thousand dollars might help, but as many seasoned Mercedes owners have said: If you want more power in a Mercedes, buy one with a V8 in it! If you want the car to handle better, that is easy to do. Replace the front and rear sway bars with the ones from the Sportline option. You can source these discounted as well as other MB parts from Rusty Cullen at 800-741-5252. Remember, this car is a luxury sedan with all the toys and a pathetic cassette radio in the dash. It will never be more of a screamer than it is now. P.

That's just my 0.02

Re: Im a newbie, help me out

Yeah bro, me 2. My dad gave me his '93 Mercedes 190E, and i modded it with HID headlights, smoked taillights, white AMG monoblock rims, and a lip spoiler. I should be getting a new body kit soon, too. I have the same problem. I want more power into my car, so I installed a K&N high performance cold air intake system, and that helped just a little though . Next, my dad told me to get an HKS supercharger or turbocharger (i prefer supercharger). I just need a mechanic now. Also, add a sway bar and a strut bar, and try to get some new shocks and lowering springs. The lowering springs should be about 1 inch, unless you want your car to look like a vaccumm. lol. well, i hoped i helped bro!
