Angry Brakes out at 47k on 1999 Windstar

We just bought a 1999 Windstar with 45k on it and have had it for less than two months when the brakes seem to have failed this weekend. Anyone experience anything like this with a Windstar this age and mileage? The car had one owner, was regularly maintained, although major corrosion issues from the dealer were undisclosed, but that is an entirely other issue.

But if anyone has any experience with either severe corrosion issues and/or brake failure, advise/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Please, what do you mean by "failed"?

If you're talking about rotor/ pad replacement that's about the norm. I seem to be replacing pads and rotors every 30-40,000 miles on the Windstars I have owned (last was a '96 and I now have an '01). Learn to do it yourself and save big $$$ and they're real easy to do. If you live in the Twin Cities area I'd be happy to show you how .
