Finally decided the first major modification for my Tiburon...but I need help

I figured it out as I was driving home today. Suspension mods!!!

Something around lowering springs and stiffer springs etc, but I'm not sure where to start. I'm looking for quality parts for lowering ,camber and other suspension stuff that I probably I have know clue about. I'm also looking for a reasonable price too, so I can put it on my "wishlist"

HELP!!!

Thanks
-ColeIketani

PS: I'm going to go suspension, (good to have "perfect" handling before you go fast) tires and brakes, (before I go fast, I'd like to know that I could stop) then engine mods..... (so then I can go fast knowing I can brake and stop)

Eibach has some pretty good lowering springs, struts & sway bars. Eibach.com I think is the website. Just my two cents

Re: Finally decided the first major modification for my Tiburon...but I need help

I bought the ones on the Hyundai Performance website:

http://www.shop.hyundaiperformance.c...i=EBH_4220.140

They're Eibach 1.1" lowering springs and I had them compressed to stiffen them up a bit and give me a total drop of 1.6". Overall I think they're pretty good springs but if you've got the $1100+ dollars to drop on coil-overs go ahead... personally I have no use for them. Also, I recommend you get some strut bars, you can find them here:

http://www.sharkracing.com/sus/hyund...-aluminum.html - aluminum
or
http://www.sharkracing.com/sus/hyund...rbonfiber.html - carbon fiber

I went with the aluminum because they were cheaper. Between the drop and the bars I've noticed QUITE a difference in the turns.... I can guarantee that I'll wash out far before I flip. LOL

p.s. - total cost of those springs and the aluminum sway bars is only $400.00 + S&H

Re: Finally decided the first major modification for my Tiburon...but I need help

it depends... theres different degrees of how you want your car to feel/ what youre using your car for...
id go for street/ sport... and if you really want to look into it.. performance packages.....
strut bars... not that expensive at all...
sometimes you can find a deal on ft and rr together...
aint sway bars are liek the hundreds.... 1-2 hundred

sway bars reduce body roll. you connect a big straight bar to the frame of the car. then with bushings(so it can rotate) you attach arms to the front suspension.

when you go into a left turn(lets say) and weight is transferred to the right side, the suspension compresses on that side. that causes the arm to go up, and creates torsion in the bar. the torsion created then compresses the other side, causing the car to stay flatter on the road.

to much sway bar, and you lose the suspension independence of the left to the right side. as in, when you hit a bump on the right side it will affect the left side. no sway bar, and you could flip.

i know eibach makes some sway bars for my RD, but im not sure about your car.
