95 Metro Temp sensor Problem

HI,

I had the check engine light come on and checked the code to find out it was a temp sensor problem. The rubber boot around the sensor was gone when I first checked it. I put another boot on and reset the check engine light. About 75 miles later the light came back on with the same code. I then changed the sensor itself and the fan on the radiator started coming on as it should now and then. I ran for a few days and thought I had beaten it.

Well, yesterday the light came back on and again it is the temp. sensor code. I know the fan is still working because I watched for it after the light came on.

Is there something else in that string or code that will cause that specific code to come on? (relay, etc.) Thanks for any help.
