Re: serpentine

I dont know how to reroute the belt, but before you go buy a new belt, look into the matter a little bit further. This may sound weird but on my parents old 92 sedan deville, the ac compressor crapped out one day and caused the transmission to malnfunction (start in 2nd gear iirc). It would have terrible acceleration (because of no 1st gear) but was fine at speed.

You might need to do more than replace the belt for everything to run properly. but then maybe its not an issue on the 95s.

just my $0.02

Re: Re: serpentine

I had the same problem last year. Was told that there was no recommended belt to bypass the compressor. I tried to get the clutch off to replace but no go. Final solution was to get the best looking compressor off a wreck at a U-Pull-It and put it on the car. Could test and be pretty sure the clutch and bearings were ok at the lot. Later on replaced the oriface tube and accumulator and got the system recharged. Worked like new. I could have been lucky too.
