Unhappy Really Strange Lighting Problem

okay i have a 99 sebring and basically when you open the door at night none of the lights come on, and the little head lamp on the drivers side doesn't work
However, if you open the passenger door everything works, and the headlamp for the passenger works also.
So whats the deal here?

Re: Really Strange Lighting Problem

not sure if the sebring has it but, is there a switch or some kind of button in the door jam that if you press it the interior lights go on/off? If so then that may be your problem.

Re: Really Strange Lighting Problem

I have a 1996 chrysler sebring. The strangest thing happened. All of the interior lights are out, the door buzzer does not buzz, the cigarette lighter dont work, the door locks dont work properly, and the security system(factory) stop working. If any one could give me some indication as to what might be the problem. I am open to hear it. I think my son shorted out something. maybe a relay or something.
