I posted about 2 months ago on a problem that i have with my acceleration and decceleration of the throttle. Driving down the road, when my foot is off the accelerator, I went to hit it and the car jerks to catch on then smooth on all out. Same problem happens when I let off the accelerator, It's smooth till I let off the gas and it jerks forward.
Also, when leaving in the morning, I've noticed that when first letting out the clutch and giving it gas to move, the car seems to shudder and bounce till the clutch is all out. My dad says it seems like my wheels or axles are hopping up and down. When I bought the car, I didn't notice any of this. But this was my first car learning manual on. I killed it and shuddered it alot, and I mean alot till I got the hang of it. Could something have happen with the mounts of the engine or transaxle to do this? Would they have come loose? Also, the owner before me had this as their first car to learn on to. What's the problem? I need help.

Re: Breakin something learning manual, help
check your mounts and make sure they arent busted all over. that contirbutes to alot of wheel hop. make sure your tires are properly filled with air and that your alingment isnt off.

Re: Breakin something learning manual, help
It doesn't really slip too bad though it isn't the best thing out there. I think it still has a long way to go till it needs replacing. Could it be any thing involved with the fuel system?

Re: Breakin something learning manual, help
Replace the fuel filter, its cheep. Its also a pain in the ass to take off the outlet side but not too bad.

Re: Breakin something learning manual, help
My old crx hf did that when I let off the gas, it was rather embarassing.
But on the clutch issue, does it catter when you release it? Unless you notice the clutch cattering I don't think its that.

I asked a mechanic in town today and he said it was normal. Just the transmission lag. Lag? What the heck does he mean by lag? I couldn't figure it out so I called another mechanic in town and he said he didn't think that would be the problem.
