Walbro fuel pump problem

Hey sup ppl. Well we was installing a Walbro fuel pump in my friend's turbo gsr (drag gen 3) and we installed the fuel rail and regulator. We installed everything correctly but the car didn't want to start? It started like for 2 seconds and all of the sudden it won't start anymore? We checked the fuse and it blew but we changed it from a 15 to a 20 amp. The car still wouldn't start. So we started to take out the fuel pump to reconnect it and we tested it out by switching the ignition to hear the pump and it sounded weak as hell. Then we put the stock on to hear it so we can compare the 2 and it sounds alot louder than the Walbro? Whats the problem? Is the fuel pump defective? I need help please? Thanks.

Buy, borrow, rent or steal a fuel pressure gauge.

If the walbro can't get it up to spec, exchange it for a new one.
