Re: mustang or eclipse

What year mustang?
5 speed or auto?
Coupe or convertible?

What year eclipse gs?
5 speed or auto?

Are both cars stock?
How long of a race a 1/4?

Sorry but you need to be more specific on both cars
to answer your question.

Re: mustang or eclipse

To be honest with you stock for stock i would say the mustang. Ive been in both and personally think that the eclipse gs is one of the slowest cars ive been in. I mess around with them in my 2.3 liter ranger if that gives u any clue.

An eclipse gs-t or gs-x would be a different story. My buddy use to have a 5spd gs-t and he would walk on my old stock GT Conv AOD with 3.73's all day long. But I think my LX could take one the way it is now.

Re: mustang or eclipse

It's funny, because I've been looking for a used car to set my sights on for the past month or so, and the two cars I've gotten it down to are the 1993-1995 Mustang SVT Cobra and the 1990-1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. I figure that these cars offer the best performance you can get for under $10000, while still being reliable and practical.

If you want a reliable car why do you have a Eclipse as one of the choices?Buy the Cobra.

Re: mustang or eclipse

I'm really getting sick of all these car vs. car threads in this forum. There is an appropriate forum on the board for such topics. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=666

From now on I will be closing all such threads rather then moving them, such as I had been doing.
